This location is near the Floyd and Patrick County, VA line. Nearby is Rocky Knob Visitor Information Center and Rocky Knob Picnic area. Plus numerous trails and excellent scenic views looking both North and South of the Parkway. The Flame Azalea is a medium shrub with bright orange colors. They are a part of the Rhododendron family. Generally blooming in June-July. This year, they have arrived in early May.
