Kerns, age 21, from Ararat, VA (Patrick County) to the Martinsville Speedway, Martinsville, VA for a major announcement at 10:30am, February 9, 2012. CPL Kerns was injured in military action in Afghanistan, and lost both legs and one arm. He is a Marine and a 2008 graduate of Patrick County High School. Cpl. Josh Kerns was wounded by an improvised explosive device on April 7, 2011 while on duty in Afghanistan. Gary Sinise is a noted actor from the television show, CSI-NY. He will also be remembered for his role as Lt. Dan, in the movie, Forrest Gump in which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. The media is invited to attend.
