Blue Ridge Airport Plans $25 Million Expansion-Spencer, VA

Jan. 13-Blue Ridge Regional Airport in Spencer, VA is planning a $25 million, 20 year plan to improve the airport with extended runway, new terminal building and other improvements

The Blue Ridge Airport has recently purchased additional land, with a value of $711,000 with funding from the Federal Aviation Administration of 95%.
Virginia Dept. of Aviation will contribute 3% and Blue Ridge Airport Authority will contribute 2%.
Upgrades will include a new Instrumentation Landing System, widening of the apron and ramp, extension of the runway 500 feet and a new terminal building.
