Primland Holds Ribbon Cutting for Tree House-Meadows of Dan

Primland of Meadows of Dan, VA held a ribbon cutting for the new tree house on July 23, 2011, in conjunction with the opening of a 6 mile section of the Old Appalachian Trail. The Tree House is called Golden Eagle Tree House.

On hand for the Ribbon Cutting were Del. Ward Armstrong, and Senator Roscoe Reynolds, Roger Hayden, Chairman of the Patrick County Board of Supervisors, Crystal Harris, Board of Supervisors, Executive Director of the Patrick County Chamber of Commerce, Tom Bishop.
Also representives from the press including, Richard Rogers of WHEO 1270 AM, Stuart, Va, The Enterprise, The Floyd Press, Virginia Living, Natural Awakens, Bella the Regional Magazine for Women, and Blue Ridge Country Magazine
And several Primait family members included Harold Primat.
A new book was unveiled, "A Field Guide to the Nature of Primland and the Blue Ridge Mountains, by Michael St. Germain and Scott Klopfer of Virginia Tech.
Primland's new Geochache and Nature Trails were unveiled and opened on this day.
Sunday, July 24, will be Old Appalachian Trail Day at Primland with other activities, Bluegrass Music, Hiking and geocaching on the new trail, golf and fly fishing demos, and guided van tours of the property.
