Autumn Kathleen Arnder, age 16 of Mt. Airy, NC has won the America's Senior Miss 2011. She is a past winner of the Virginia State Peach Festival Pageant, Junior Miss, 2009.
Autumn Kathleen Arnder, age 16, of Mount Airy won the America’s Senior Miss 2011 title recently at the America’s Ultimate Miss 2011 National Pageant held in Waynesboro, VA. The pageant was a three day competition starting Friday, April 8th and ending Sunday, April 10th. During the pageant Autumn competed in nine different areas within the Senior Division which consisted of young ladies ages 16 – 19 years of age. Out of the nine areas of competition Autumn took home top awards in eight of those categories including Casual Wear, Interview – Spokes Model, Swimsuit, Cover Miss, Photogenic, Fashion Modeling, Talent and the feature optional category for this pageant, Diamonds and Denim.
Autumn is scheduled to sign a contract with the pageant association and will spend the next year fulfilling her title duties as America’s Senior Miss 2011 to include performing community service, making appearances at the Miss Virginia Pageant in June and various other state level pageants. Autumn will also travel with the pageant association and other national winners to Washington, DC in the fall of 2011. The group is also set to support the Ultimate Miss America Community Service Project and two Women’s Health Centers. After completing all of the assigned duties, Autumn will be awarded a scholarship to go toward the expenses of the college of her choice.
Autumn is the daughter of Ron and Angela Arnder of Mount Airy and the grand-daughter of Billy and Phyllis Allen of Cana, Virginia and Ms. Lessie Arnder of Mount Airy and the late Millard Arnder. Autumn is a sophomore at East Surry High School in Pilot Mountain. Autumn is a Varsity Cheerleader and plays Volleyball for Surry Storm through the Junior Olympic Association.
