SNYDER FAMILY PERFORMS
PCMA – December 18, 2010 – Stuart, VA
Bluegrass is in the blood of The Snyder Family Band who is performing at the Patrick County Music Association (PMCA) Jamboree this Saturday, December 18th at Rotary Field in Stuart, VA. Doors open at 3:30 PM.
Bluegrass music has a way of bringing families together and it's true with The Snyder Family Band. Bud and Laine Snyder started their young kids in classical music, and never dreamed that they would be on stage and playing bluegrass music. Samantha has won many fiddler competitions and was the youngest ever to win Fiddler of the Festival award at Fiddler's Grove in Union Grove, NC. She also sings lead and harmony vocals along with her mom Laine. Zeb's favorite style of playing the guitar is -- flatpicking. He has also won many awards. Wayne C. Henderson has said "Zeb and Samantha are my favorite young musicians... It makes me feel important just having Zeb play my instrument." The kids needed a bass player to complete the trio and Bud stepped up to the challenge. He enjoys making music with his family. A typical family night for the Snyder's is "circled around" the living room working on upcoming performances or just making music together. You might even see the youngest family member Owen, age 5, on stage with The Snyder Family Band, a family tradition.
Also performing at the PCMA are Bill and Maggie Anderson, Herbert, Tina & Cathrine Conner, Narrow Road, and The Country Boys. Doors open at 3:30 PM music starts at 4:30 PM.
