Amanda McIntyre Named Miss Peach in Stuart, VA-August 16

Amanda Nicole McIntyre, age 19, of Stuart, VA was named Miss Peach 2010 at the Historic Star Theatre in downtown, Stuart.
Amanda is a 2009 graduate of Patrick County High School and is currently attending Patrick Henry Community College.
She is the daughter of Kimberly and Robert McIntyre of Stuart, VA.
This was the 6th Annual Virginia State Peach Pageant, which is a part of the Annual Peach Festival held in Patrick County, VA.
Other Peach Festival events include a Music Celebration on Friday, August 20 at DeHart Park in Stuart, VA. This is a ticketed event, with advance tickets selling for $8.00. Music will be by Sunset Drive, Poverty Level and Rhody Creek. Local BBQ, peach ice cream and other peach products will be on sale. Ticket price does not included food and beverage. Ticket price will be $12.00 at the gate. RAIN OR SHINE.
Gates open at 4:00pm and entertainment runs until approximately 9:30pm.
Saturday, Patrick County will celebrate the Annual Folk Fair in Meadows of Dan, VA with many heritage arts and crafts, peach butter making, music and drama. The date is August 21, in the business district, just at the Blue Ridge Parkway exit for U. S. Route 58. Starts at 10:00am. This event is free.
At both events, local grown Patrick County peaches will be on sale, plus many different peach desserts.
