Annual Floydfest Held in Pickett's Thicket Near Rock Castle Gorge

The Annual Floydfest is held in Pickett's Thicket, owned by Greensboro, NC Realtor, Mr. Tom Pickett. This beautiful property is next to Rock Castle Gorge, which includes a beautiful scenic nature trail.
The Pickett property adjoins the Blue Ridge Parkway, the most visited National Park in America.
The Floydfest 9 program booklet, gives this message:
"Please be aware that this beautiful land has the usual "rural hazards" that you might encounter in any outdoor situation. Namley, poison Ivy, briars, thorny vines, and prickly weeds in the fields and woods. Bare feet are not recommended! Annoying insects such as ants, ticks mosquitoes, bees and yellow jackets. To avoid these, use blankets to sit on, stay on the paths through the woods, and don't climb trees"
