The Annual Floydfest kicked off on Thursday, July 22nd at 12 noon with people flooding into the grounds to set up camp sites and set up entertainment stages
The Patrick County Chamber of Commerce set up a Tourism Information table at the Main Entrance to the site.
Visitors from Sweden, Montana, Washington, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida and many other sources were evident.
This event has become of extraordinary proportions, with unnumberable bands, with local and International flavor.
Weather held up good all day until 4:00pm when a minor rain shower came down. But it did not detain the entertainers nor the attendees.
The first band to play on the Hill Holler stage was Rockridge Brothers from Stockholm, Sweeden that sang with all string instruments and with a bluegrass sound. Photo by Tom Bishop
