National College Appoints New Director of International Student Recruitment
ROANOKE, VA – Jamil Srour (photo attached) of Roanoke (24013) has been named director of international student recruitment for National College (www.national-college.edu). In this position, Srour will assist prospective international students in their educational pursuits.
Prior to joining National College, Srour worked for the US Army as an Arabic language instructor. He is a translator for international events and symposiums at Brigham Young University. During the 2008 presidential election, Srour campaigned for Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney reaching out to the minority communities in several early primary states. He also has experience working as a lobbyist for the United Nations and president and managing director for a food and convenience store.
“Jamil Srour will work with international communities to improve their understanding of the college’s mission and programs,� said Frank Longaker, National College President. “His experience and international knowledge make him a good fit for this position with the College.�
Srour has a Master of Business Administration from the Roanoke Valley Campus of National College and a bachelor’s degree from Bangalore University in Bangalore, India.
