ENTRIES SOUGHT FOR J.E.B. STUART ART SHOW
The 2010 J.E.B. Stuart Art Show will be receiving artwork at Reynolds Homestead, 463 Homestead Lane, Critz, Virginia on Monday, September 27, 4-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, September 28, 2-5:00 p.m. Their phone number is 276-694-7181.
Categories of artwork are Oil and Acrylic Painting; Watercolors, Drawings, Pastels and others; Photography; and Three Dimensional Art such as woodwork, pottery, fiber and jewelry.
Artists 18 years of age or older who are residents of Patrick, Henry, Franklin and Floyd Counties in Virginia and Surry and Stokes Counties in North Carolina may enter the competition. Natives of Patrick County and members of the sponsoring organization, Bull Mountain Arts, no matter where they live, may also enter.
Two works of art in any categories may be entered by each artist. The entry fee is $15 per artist, although the fee for members of Bull Mountain Arts, is only $10.
Students in grades 8-12, living in any of the named counties, are invited to enter the Student Division with no fees required.
Ribbons and cash prizes will be announced at the Opening Reception on Sunday, October 3, 2-4:00 p.m. The Show will close at Reynolds Homestead on Friday, October 29. Winning artwork will be displayed at the Patrick County Library, Stuart, Virginia, November 1-30, 2010.
