Local Carpenter Rev. Carl Scott Dies of Claudville

Rev. Carl William Scott, age 94, of 445 Archie's Creek Road, Claudville, Va died on June 10. He was a local carpenter and Ordained Minister with the Pentecostal Holiness Church, Cornerstone conference
Funeral was held on Sunday at Mt. View Pentecostal Holiness Church. He is survived by 2 daughters, Kay Phillips of Claudville and Conelia Puckett of Ararat. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Rogers Scott, dauthter Brenda Scott Jones, and son Carl Alvis Scott, and his parents Charlie William and Lucinda Hooker Scott.
He was a minister of the Gospel for over 60 years.
His surviving siblings are Mary Jessup, Mt. Airy, NC, Ava Hutchens, Mt. Airy, NC, Alyene Young, Mt. Airy, Rev. Deward Scott, Mt. Airy, NC and Herbert Scott, Augustine, FL.
He was also a building contractor in Patrick County.
The funeral service was held Sunday, June 13, 2010, at Mountain View Pentecostal Holiness Church, Claudville, VA, with the Rev. Tommy Smith, the Rev. Rickey Rogers, and Dr. David Sparks officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
