Local resident of Meadows of Dan, Sarah June Shelor Puckett Sink was killed on Thursday, June 4, 2010 on the Blue Ridge Parkway, in Floyd County, VA.

It was a single car accident as she and her husband traveled North on the Parkway. Mr. Sink was air lifted to Roanoke, VA for treatment. As reported by WHEO 1270 news on Monday, June 7, 2010
