Message from CenturyLink - To Customers

Dear CenturyLink® Customer, It has come to our attention that an email appearing to be from CenturyLink is currently circulating that has been identified by our company as fraudulent.

CenturyLink never asks for personal information, such as your password, username, date of birth, country or territory in an email. CenturyLink will never instruct you to take an action on your account by sending an email message to you, and we will never attempt to deactivate or interrupt your service via email. Should you receive this or any email requesting personal information such as your SURNAME, USERNAME, or PASSWORD, please do not respond to the message. To report this type of email activity, please complete one of the following actions: If using a desktop mail client (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.), forward the suspicious email as an attachment to phishing@embarqmail.com and then simply delete the email, you need not take any further action. If using CenturyLink email through CenturyLink.net (webmail), when the suspicious email is highlighted click the "Junk" button and then simply delete the email from your junk folder, you need not take any further action. If you have already responded to this or any other email request for such personal information, you should immediately change your email password by going to www.centurylink.net and selecting the username management link at the top of the logged in homepage. CenturyLink does not ever solicit or request personal information from our customers via email.
