Please join us in welcoming Ann Walker to our team, as Primland’s new Director of Sales and Marketing! Ann brings a wealth of experiences to help us achieve our sales and marketing goals, and to tell the Primland story to legions of prospective guests.
Ann has an expertise in sales, marketing and business development for luxury hotels as well as expertise in group and FIT sales and in the corporate group incentive market. She is adept in integrating brand awareness and market development, including web, e-marketing and direct mail campaigns and in the synergy of both marketing and sales disciplines.
Ann most recently served as DOSM for Tucker’s Point Hotel & Spa, in Bermuda. Her prior experience includes roles as: Senior Director of National Sales, Director of Business Development and Executive Director of Sales for the Greenbrier; VP Sales & Marketing for the Glade Springs Resort also in West Virginia; and as National Sales Manager for The Homestead, in Virginia. She has an economics degree from Randolph Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, VA.
Her professional affiliations include: Meeting Professionals International; Financial & Insurance Conference Planners; Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association; WV Association Society of Association Executives and she has served on the boards of Leadership WV and the WV Hospitality and Travel Association.
Ann and husband Al have celebrated 35 years of marriage and have three children: Mary Ingles Walker Sievers (Singapore); Trip Walker (Asheville, NC); Katherine Walker (Asheboro, NC). Ann enjoys travel, culinary experiences, perennial gardening, reading, golf and outdoor activities.
As you can see, Ann is well versed in golf resorts, destination hotels and more importantly has the connections within our markets to contribute well to our growing success. Thanks for making Ann feel welcome! Her first day is Monday, May 17th.
