May 15 - Downtown Stuart, VA was the site of the Annual Strawberry Festival with lots of music, crafts, and street vendors with festival food. Food included home made strawberry ice cream by B. Clark's John Deer Tractor.
Weather was very warm and sunny after an evening of rain (Friday night).
This was a great local festival with folks from surrounding communities in Carroll and Henry Counties joining in.
We had people from as far away as Louisiana, Newport News, VA and Greensboro, NC too.
Tom Bishop of the Patrick County Chamber had a Tourism information table to help all the visitors to our county find their way around, with travel guides, maps and brochures with directional help for those unfamiliar with our mountainous county.
