National College in Martinsville Announces Spring Graduation
Martinsville– On Tuesday, May 25 at 7:00 p.m. the Martinsville Campus of National College will hold its graduation ceremony at Martinsville High School with special guest State Senator Robert Hurt. Over 145 students are expected to attend the ceremony and receive their diplomas and degrees.
Hurt currently represents the 19th Senatorial District in Virginia. He is a native of Pittsylvania County where he lives and practices law. He served as the Chief Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for Pittsylvania County from 1996 to 1999. In 2000, Hurt was elected to the Chatham Town Council and was elected to his first term in the Virginia House of Delegates in 2001. After serving three terms in the House of Delegates, Hurt was elected to the Senate of Virginia. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Hampden Sydney College and a Juris Doctorate degree from the Mississippi College School of Law.
