Primland of Meadows of Dan, VA will be the location for the Annual Meeting of the Blue Ridge Parkway Association on May 5-6, 2010. The hosts are the Patrick County Chamber of Commerce, Primland and Chateau Morrisette Winery.

Annual Meeting of Blue Ridge Parkway Association (BRPA) at Primland
Primland of Meadows of Dan, VA will be the location for the Annual Meeting of the Blue Ridge Parkway Association on May 5-6, 2010.
The hosts are the Patrick County Chamber of Commerce, Primland and Chateau Morrisette Winery.
A reception is scheduled for 6pm, Wednesday, May 5 to kick off the event.
Wednesday’s Activities include a dinner, 75 Year Anniversary Presentation concerning the Blue Ridge Parkway, and an Observatory Presentation.
Thursday’s activities include breakfast, and the Annual BRPA Membership Meeting, beginning at 8am and concluding at 12 noon. A slate of new officers will be elected at this meeting.
Local businessman, Steve Helms, of Primland serves on the Board of Directors.
BRPA membership includes the wide variety of businesses and attractions in the Blue Ridge Parkway region.
Guests on hand for the event included Mr. Tom Hardy, Executive Director of the Blue Ridge Parkway Association from Ashevill, NC and Mr. Phil Francis, Supt. of the Blue Ridge Parkway (National Park) from Asheville, NC.
Local officials attending included Jay Scudder, Patrick County Administrator, Tom Rose Patrick County Assistant County Administrator, and Wilma Pendleton, Patrick County Economic Development and Tourism.
In attendance were Tom Bishop, Executive Director, Patrick County Chamber of Commerce and Cindy and Gary Hoback of Wolf Creek Farm, Ararat and Tom Pickett, of Pickett's Thickett and Floyd Fest, Meadows of Dan.
Patrick County Chamber members in attendance included Nora Kuper, Chateau Morrisette, Brooks Bradbury and Steve Helms of Primland, and Gary Wood of Mabry Mill.
