WHEO Radio, 1270 AM, reported this morning that CenturyLink will have 90% coverage in Patrick County for High Speed Internet by end of 2010

Richard Rogers, Talk Show Host at WHEO, Stuart, VA reported that CenturyLink reported to the Board of Supervisors last evening: "that high-speed Internet is virtually a modern-day necessity and is happy that Pat. Co. is at the forefront of bringing Broadband to rural areas. In fact, by the end of the year, more than 90% of county residents will have DSL access, a CenturyLink official told the Board of Supervisors last night. " Ralph Ison of CenturyLink was the presenter. "Broadband today is as important as rural electrification was in the '30s", said Broadband guru, supervisor Roger Hayden.
