Woolwine Elementary in Woolwine, VA was recently recognized as a Distinguished Title I School. This was announced by the Virginia Board of Education.

The award is in recognition that maintained full state accreditation under the Standards of Learning program for 2 consecutive years, met Federal benchmarkis in reading and mathematics and had average test scores in both subjects at the 60th percentile or higher.
