Black History Month-Gospel Choirs at The Homestead

CRITZ, VA-Feb. 12, 2010— Gospel choirs from churches throughout the area will gather at the Reynolds Homestead Continuing Education Center on Sunday, Feb. 14, at 3:00p.m.
The public is invited.
The Reverend Burgie Penn will lead the annual gospel celebration marking the 21st year of commemoration of Black History Month. This traditional event spotlights the wealth of talented gospel singing in our community. The Trinity Church of the Living God in Stuart will serve as the host choir. Seven other groups, including T.C. Carter, will be performing.
“We will spend an afternoon enjoying gospel music as we celebrate the African American heritage. The Reynolds Homestead is pleased to partner with Burgie Penn in hosting this hallowed event,� stated Kay Dunkley, director.
Admission is free and attendees are encouraged to arrive early in order to get a seat.
