Rick Boucher Says Democrats Must Cooperate on Health Care
January 21, 2010
As reported in the Martinsville Bulletin on January 21, 2010, Rick Boucher is encouraging the Democrats in U. S. Congress to cooperate with Republicans to pass Health Care legislation.
Boucher said he wants to see legislation that, among other things, controls health care costs, prohibits insurance companies from denying coverage due to a person’s pre-existing health problems and stops insurers from canceling insurance after policyholders get sick.
“These elements are what people want, in health care reform, he said.
He indicated he does not support the Senate bill.
