Angel Overlook Ribbon Cutting And Dedication on Sept. 19

The new Angel Overlook and information kiosk will be officially opened with a ribbon cutting planned for Sept. 19, Saturday, at 12:00noon.

On hand for the dedication will be Senator Roscoe Reynolds and Delegate Ward Armstrong.
The park has picnic tables along a wood rail fence, with an informational kiosk and possesses magnificant views of the mountains which include Pilot Mountain and the Sauratown Mountain Range in North Carolina.
The Patrick County Administration, Patrick County Tourism Divisioin and the Chamber of Commerce will host this event, Saturday, September 19, 1009 at 12:00 noon.
Angel Overlook is located near several area attractions such as: the Meadows of Dan Communty, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Primland Resort, Laurel Hill, The Hollow History Center, Rolling Thunder Race Track, Doe Run Farm with its annual corn maze, Puckett and Hall's greenhouses, many local cherry, peach and apple orchards, as well as grain, cattle and horse farms just to name a few. Just under the Historic Mayberry Community is the Country Store and the Mayberry Presbyterian Church, one of the famous rock churches.
The park easement was donated by Douglas and Judy Angel in loving memory of Brian Douglas Angel.
