Mark your calendars for a day full of fun, games, crafts and music. Join us at the third annual Art in the Park event to be held Saturday, September 12th at DeHart Park in Stuart, VA. This event is being sponsored by the Patrick County Partnership for the Arts – working to bring the arts the children and the communities together.
Art activities will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue throughout the day until 4:00 p.m. The most popular Pi-COW-so, will make another appearance; be sure to try to milk the cow and create a masterpiece. Bubble prints, face painting and creations in clay are only a small sample of what is going on at Dehart Park on this fun filled family event. Some activities are ticketed and all children ages 2 to 12 will receive their first 10 tickets at no charge.
For the first time ever, Mother Nature, the Giant Puppet, will be making her debut and we invite everyone to join in on the puppet pageantry. Try your hand at the sidewalk chalk art contest and meet the mime. Food will be available through out the day or pack a picnic and enjoy all the park has to offer.
