Rick Boucher Speaks at Ribbon Cutting at Claudville, VA

Congressman Rick Boucher, D, Abingdon, VA spoke at the Red Bank Ruritan Club ribbon cutting for the new Computer Lab. Pictured with him are Roger Hayden, Director of the Lab, and Tom Rose, Assistant County Administrator.
This Computer Center will be available to the Claudville Community which is underserved with High Speed Internet Services. It can be very helpful for students, individuals and new businesses in the area.
Mr. Boucher facilitated this project by helping the Red Bank Ruritans make contact with TDF Foundation. Equipment donations by the TDF Foundation, Washington, DC. TDF provided the operating cost for 1 year, providing access fees, computer telecommunications equipment, telephone line and printer.
Roger Hayden, who is also the Broadband Committee Chairman, has been working throughout Patrick County to expand installation of High Speed Internet Service and make it available throughout the County. He has worked closely with Mr. Boucher's staff in Abingdon.
