I am sending this information out for you to pass along as appropriate.
TU Parks, the general contractor for the school construction projects in Patrick County, has requested that I “get the word� out to all individuals who may be interested in performing any work on the school projects. While several jobs have received numerous bids, the general contractor would really like to appeal to the Patrick County citizens as they are very interested in using Patrick County people to do the jobs. Particularly of interest are individuals who are electricians. TU Parks has rented an office and homes in Patrick County. Their office is located at 102 East Blue Ridge Street (old Hooker Building), Stuart. This is near the courthouse and the Patrick County Education Foundation. I would recommend that anyone interested in working on the projects to go by their office this week.

I have talked with the reps and they have told me that many jobs can be completed with individuals who have skills in housing construction as well as commercial and they do not have to bid on all but what they feel they can do.
