The Dan River on Kibler Valley Road, near Ararat and Claudville is a great place for fishing. There are many scenic sites on this road that include the Annual River Run, Post Office and Barnard Farm.

Other attractions are a tour of the Danville Power Plant, the Annual River Run, on July 25, 2009 and the Kibler Post Office.
Pinnacles Hydro Power Plant; hiking and sightseeing. Canoeing - under normal conditions, one white water boating release will be provided below Pinnacles Powerhouse each weekend during July through October. Annually the "Kibler Valley River Run" is sponsored by the Red Bank Ruritan Club of Claudville, Virginia. This event attracts canoeist from throughout the region.
