The hospital reported this statement: "The Fairy stone cross is a rarity that is found in its largest quantities right here in Patrick County. Some believe it to be lucky, while others see it as an incredible product of natural forces. To us these stones are a symbol of something unique and exceptional. That is precisely why we have adopted a version of this cross for the hospital logo. As your community hospital, it is our goal to provide this community with healthcare that is unique to this area and exceptional care for you and your loved ones."
