Cost of Griffith Lumber Co. Fire In The Millions-Woolwine

Apr. 26 - As reported by the Martinsville Bulletin, page 1, the owner estimates the loss in millions of dollars. In fact a total loss, per Bruce Griffith.
The sawmill was fully in flame when the first firefighter arrived.
It will impact the jobs of 50 employees that includes truck drivers.said.
The drying stack operation portion of the business is not impacted.
All of us in Patrick County are saddened by this great loss. We pray that plans can be made to put it back in operation soon.
It has far reaching impact with other local businesses.
Practically every fire fighting organization in Patrick County, VA responded.
The case of the fire is still being investigated.
