Lawyer's Weekly, dated Jan. 15, 2009 reported that 85 emplolyees of Patrick County Hospital, Stuart, VA have sued former hospital operater over unpaid wages.
Stuart hospital workers sue for lost wages
January 15th, 2009 ·A group of 85 employees of the hospital in Patrick County have sued the former hospital operator over unpaid wages.
According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, the workers at R.J. Reynolds Patrick County Memorial Hospital are owed two to four weeks’ worth of wages, as well as benefits such as health insurance claims. The workers lost their jobs Oct. 29, although some have been re-hired by the new hospital operator.
Plaintiffs’ attorney John Fishwick says the lawsuit, filed in Patrick County Circuit Court, seeks up to $250,000.
