We have been getting numerous e-mail messages from what looks like Embarq Corporation customer service asking you for vital information such as:
Password, username, date of birth, country or territory
Here is a quote from Embarq official contacts:
“EMBARQ does not ever solicit or request personal information from our customers via email. If you have any concerns or questions, please contact our customer service at 1-877-6GO-DATA (1-877-646-3282).�
These fraudulent messages are called “phishing e-mails� and they are actually spam.
