Hospice of Patrick County was suspended Friday, Nov. 21 by the R. J. Reynolds Patrick County Memorial Hospital, aka, Patrick Hospital. Agency services are continuing according to Patricia Crissman.

Patricia Crissman is the Executive Director. The six paid staff members were laid off. They were advised to transfer our patients to another Hospice. Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care is in the process of developing a partnership with Hospice of Patrick County. As reported by The Enterprise, November 26, 2008, page 1
