Committee On Community-Wide Litter Cleanup- Fall Campaign
Patrick County, VA
Key Points:
Be responsible for your own trash. Put trash in the proper place.
Think about what you are doing. Let’s keep our County beautiful.
Take pride in your surroundings. Keep the area where you live and work clean.
Recycle whenever possible. There are agencies out there that can help you.
Encourage others. Try to involve your own family, your church, your own business, and your civic clubs.
Take initiative. Don’t wait for someone else to do it. Don’t wait for someone to remind you.
Start now to clean up the environment. We want our neighborhood to look good to our visitors so they will come back.
Who can help you?
Town of Stuart will have orange garbage bags available. Individuals, churches and civic clubs can pick them up at the office on 100 Patrick Avenue, Stuart. VDOT will pick up the orange bags on our County roads. Town of Stuart will pick up leaves and tree trimmings in Stuart on each Thursday in October.

Mobile Recycle Bins – Take newspapers, magazines, plastic bottles, and aluminum/tin cans. Located at Rotary Field Monday-Friday. At our elementary schools on weekends.
County Transfer Station– Take your trash, old car batteries, appliances, etc.

Stuart Wal-Mart – Take your aluminum pop cans and plastic grocery bags. Bins are at the entrance for that purpose.
Jamie’s Recycling – Take your aluminum pop cans, scrap metals, junk cars, car batteries and old appliances.
