Broadband Study for Patrick County Approved-Stuart, VA

The Patrick County Board of Supervisors approved unanimously a study of the wireless broadband communications system for Patrick County at it's meeting on September 8, 2008
Trificient Technologies of Mt. Airy, NC has been contracted to do the study. The project is funded by the Virginia Tobacco Indemnification Commission.
Roger Heydon of Claudville, VA is chairmen of the Broadband Taskforce for Patrick County, VA.
The cost of the study will be $38,500.
This project holds hope for nearly 90%+ coverage for DSL for Patrick County.
This project is intended to cover the remote areas of Patrick County not covered by other DSL providers.
