The Virginia State Peach Festival experienced an excellent turnout for the week of August 4-9, 2008

Advance ticket sales were up and sales at the gate were up. Events were held on Monday, with a Peach Pageant, Thursday with a Gospel Singing, Friday with the traditional music concert at Rotary Field in Stuart, and Saturday with the 4th Annual Folk Fair at Meadows of Dan, VA, near the Blue Ridge Parkway entrance.
