Patrick County Public Schools and Virginia Intermont College
Partner to Offer Scholarship
Dr. Michael J. Puglisi, President of Virginia Intermont College, and Dr. Roger N. Morris, Division Superintendent for Patrick County Public Schools jointly announce that Virginia Intermont College will offer one scholarship each year equal to 40 percent of the stated college tuition. The scholarship will remain in place for four years, provided the student maintains appropriate academic standing.
Puglisi said, “I hope Virginia Intermont will continue to be a destination for students from Patrick County as they search for the college experience that best serves their goals and ambitions.�
In response to the scholarship offer, Dr. Morris said, “The Virginia Intermont scholarship is an opportunity for a Patrick County student to attend a quality school located in Southwest Virginia, not too far from home.�
An application process is under development. Virginia Intermont College is a four-year college in Bristol, Va. The College offers a variety of degrees and programs and is known for its small class size and its close-knit environment.
