RJR Hospital Skill Care Unit May Be sold-Stuart, VA

Chatham Rehabilitation Center in Chatham, VA is trying to purchase the 25 skilled care beds from R. J. Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Stuart, VA
The Enterprise, March 5, 2008 reported this on the front page of Wednesday's paper.
There will be a hearing at the Chatham Volunteer Fire Department on Depot Street, Chatham, VA on March 11, at 1:00pm. The Health Planning Agency of Southwest Virginia, Inc. will conduct the hearing.
Craig Teller, County Administrator from Patrick County, speaking on behalf of the board of supervisors, said, "our position is that it's not in the best interest of the citizens of Patrick County, and we're looking at our legal options."
Janice Wilkins, former administratior of the hospital said she is willing to fight for "Patrick County and the hospital."
