Enter a Peachy Recipe in the Virginia State Peach Festival Cook-Off.
The Reynolds Homestead is seeking entries for the Fifth Annual Virginia State Peach Festival Peach Cook-Off Contest. Entries will be accepted at the Stuart Farmer’s Market between 9 and noon or the Virginia State Peach Festival between 4 and 5 pm this Friday, August 19, 2016.
Enter your tastiest peach delicacy along with the accompanying recipe in the Peach Jams, Jellies, and Preserves category or the Peach Desserts category. First and second place prizes will be awarded in both categories and a Best of Show prize will also be rewarded. Winners will be announced, on stage, at The Peach Festival. There is no charge to enter the Peach Cook-Off or to attend the Peach Festival
“We are excited to host the Peach Cook-Off as part of the annual Virginia State Peach Festival,” said Julie Walters Steele, Director of the Reynolds Homestead. “I know there are a lot of great cooks in the area who have favorite peach recipes. This cook-off provides an opportunity for area cooks to showcase their talents.”
