The Patrick County Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Patrick Soil and Water Conservation District, the County of Patrick, the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office, Dan River Basin Association, and the Town of Stuart present the 10th Annual Community-Wide Litter Pick-Up April and May 2015.
.Pick Up Patrick County is a self-directed effort to encourage citizens to help beautify our great County. As they join with local businesses, civic clubs, churches, Scouts and other organizations for the beautification of Patrick County.
We encourage you to collect litter surrounding your business, church, organization and home. Spring and Summer are when we have a large number of visitors in our County. This effort will truly MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the appearance of our community and encourage visitors to come back.
Key Points of Litter Clean Up:
? Be responsible for your own trash. Put trash in the proper place.
? Think about what you are doing. Let’s keep our County beautiful.
? Take pride in your surroundings. Keep the area where you live and work clean.
? Recycle whenever possible. There are agencies out there that can help you.
? Encourage others. Try to involve your own family, your church, your own business, and your civic clubs.
? Take initiative. Don’t wait for someone else to do it. Don’t wait for someone to remind you.
? Start now to clean up the environment.
