The 8th Annual Spring Gardening Symposium with The Master Gardeners

The Patrick County Master Gardeners will present their 8th Annual Spring Gardening Symposium on March 7, 2015 at the Patrick Henry Community College in Stuart. Sign-in is from 8:30-9:00 A.M. Program runs from 9:00-3:00 P.M.

. This year’s speakers  include,  Mark Blevins,  the County Extension Director for the NC Cooperative Extension in Brunswick, NC.  Mark’s topics are  “Lessons on being a Frugal Gardener” and “Problem Prevention“.   Melanie Barrow the Henry County  horticulture extension agent will present a program on bio-intensive gardening with a focus on how to “Keep it Simple-Keep it Fun”.  Jeff Rieves an independent educator, consultant, and agripreneur will present “Good Neighbors Don’t Bug You” or  natural ways to control pests in the home landscape.
