Guided Fairy Stone Hunt, Fairystone State Park Shelter #4 -- 9:00a-10:30a. Learn the legend behind naturally occurring stone cross formations and travel to the special location in the park to search for your own staurolite crystal or "fairystone". Hot Fun in the Summertime -- 1:00pm. Hot Fun in the Summertime is an annual event held the second weekend in June. Showcasing original beach music, rhythm and blues. Regional and nationally renowned artists. Food and beverages available for purchase along with handmade arts and crafts. Camping is also available.
